Panhandle PBS will present an online viewing of the new Texas Panhandle episode of Two for the Road with Nikki and Dusty Green of Howardwick on Thursday, November 12, at 7 p.m.
Taking place the same night and time as the on air premiere of the episode on Panhandle PBS, the special one-hour online “watch party” will feature a live chat with Nikki and Dusty as they walk viewers through some of their favorite Texas Panhandle sights, stories, and stops including Caprock Canyons State Park, historic Route 66, and a four-wheeling adventure in Palo Duro Canyon.
For an online event link to RSVP and join the event, visit panhandlePBS.org/presents or Panhandle PBS’s Facebook page.
Texas Panhandle natives, Nikki and Dusty Green quit their jobs, sold their house, their cars, and all of their possessions in 2007 to set out to explore the world together. Their Emmy-nominated series, Two for the Road: Travel, Marriage and the New American Dream takes viewers on a thrilling journey around the globe in search of remarkable experiences, spectacular sights, and fascinating people through the eyes of a modern, married couple. Season Four of Two for the Road premiered in October on Panhandle PBS.
This online event kicks off Panhandle Presents, a content series where viewers join a virtual room to watch national and local Panhandle PBS content while chatting with others, sometimes including the filmmakers themselves! Online platforms will include Zoom and OVEE (Online Viewing and Engagement Experience.) We hope those we serve will enjoy this opportunity to connect with fellow community members, engage in real-time dialogue, learn something new, and stay safe wherever they are.
