Jerry Lynn Brown, 77, of Washburn died Monday, March 29, 2021 in Amarillo.
Services were held Friday, April 2, 2021, in the Comanche Trail Church of Christ in Amarillo with Loren Harper, officiating. Burial followed with military honors in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements are under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Jerry was born February 25, 1944, in Wellington to Raymond and Maude Hicks Brown. He married Malinda Tubb on April 16, 1965 in California. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2006. He then married Jo Payton Webb on August 2, 2007 in Clarendon. He was a US Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was heavily involved and attended many veteran activities. He was a resident of Clarendon before moving to Washburn several years ago. Jerry was a member of the Comanche Trail Church of Christ in Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Malinda; a sister Shirley Brown Waters and husband Jackie.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Brown; his sons, Mike Brown and Jeremy Brown and wife Alyssa; his daughter, Bobbie Brown Gallegos and husband Carlos; his step son, Kirk Webb and wife April; his brother, Don G. Brown and wife Sara; his brothers in law, Kenneth Payton and wife Frances and Rickey Payton and wife Sherry; his grandchildren, Carley Gallegos, Adriana Gallegos, Carlos “Nicholas” Gallegos, Sebastian Gallegos, Noah Brown, Evan Brown, Liam Brown, Ezra Brown, Ethan Donald Webb, Zoe Lauren Webb, and Elaine Webb; his great grandchildren, Kenneth Reese Morgan, II and Malinda “Mali” Frances Morgan; and Sidney and Justin Turney.
