Doyle R. “Cotton” Leffew entered into his Heavenly Home Friday, April 30, 2021, in Amarillo.
He was born December 14, 1933 in Memphis to Willis and Claris (Rich) Leffew. On May 30, 1952, Doyle Leffew and Jo McGowan were married in Clarendon, Texas.
Until his retirement, he was a field operator for Phillips Petroleum. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stinnett and also a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason of the Unity Masonic Lodge #1242. Cotton loved riding motorcycles, attending rodeos and watching the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. His enjoyment was working with children and coaching baseball.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother and a sister.
Left behind to carry on his legacy and cherish his memory is his loving wife, Jo; two daughters: Debbie Richardson of Stinnett and Pat Kearns and husband Paul of Denver, Colorado; a son, Mike Leffew of Stinnett; a brother, Darrell Leffew and wife Wilma of Clarendon and five grandchildren: Jason Richardson, Mark Richardson and wife Margaret, Justin Richardson and wife Kristie, Patrick Kearns and Sean Kearns; one great grandchild, Brianna Richardson; one great -great grandchild, Dani Richardson and a host of other relatives and numerous friends.
Funeral services were held May 4, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Stinnett. Interment followed at Stinnett Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Stinnett.
