Barbara Ann Cosper, 87, of Clarendon died Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
Private family service was held Saturday, September 11, 2021. A public sunset graveside service was held at Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements are under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Barbara was born August 3, 1934 in Childress to Raleigh and Jessie King Adams. She married Sherman Jennings Cosper on June 11, 1954 in Estelline. She had been a longtime resident of Clarendon where she was a bank teller for Donley County State Bank for 43 years prior to her retirement. She also served as a Girl Scout leader for several years. Barbara loved her family and enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raleigh and Jessie Adams; two brothers, Jimmie Don Adams and Gary Adams; a sister, Donna Adams; and a son in law Jeff Mott.
Survivors include her husband, Sherman Cosper of Clarendon; her daughters, Renee Mott of Clarendon and Whitney Cosper of Amarillo; a son in law, Jody Berry of Clarendon; her brother, Steve Adams of Shallowater; her sister, Paula Jacobs and husband Sammy of Amarillo; her brother in law, Jerry Cosper and wife Gayle of Brownfield; her sister in laws, Jackie West of Panhandle, Paula Adams of Frisco, and Sue Adams of Lubbock; 4 grandchildren, Brandi Wann and husband Carey, Will Betts, Chancey King, and Phara Berry and fiancé Nick Shadle ; seven great grandchildren, Kai Floyd, Maloree Wann, Landry King, Hunter Wann, Haven King, Mac Wann, and Raleigh Wann; and several nieces and nephews.
