Test of strength January 12, 2022 by Roger Estlack Leave a Comment Juniors and Seniors at Clarendon High School recently put their engineering and accounting skills to good use as they took part in Mr Leepers Toothpick Bridge Project assigned to them in high school physics Working with only toothpicks spaghetti and popsicle sticks the students followed strict construction guidelines and budget limits to create the lightest least expensive and strongest bridge possible Weights were added to the bridge to determine its strength and durability to the point of collapsing The students grades will depend on the most weight held compared to the weight and design of the bridge Shown here Aspyn Graham Tuttle and Jace Cottrell look on as Mr Leeper and William Broussard discuss his strength test for his bridge Courtesy Photo
