The Clarendon cross-country team has been running strong all season long and the District Meet was no exception.
The ladies finished the meet with all seven runners placing in the top 20 and earning the District Championship. Tandie Cummins topped the Lady Broncos with a third-place finish at 14:03. Cummins time was only 13 seconds off the top runner in the field.
Twenty-nine runners vied for the top 10 medals, and Clarendon was able to bring home six of them.
Behind Cummins was Madi Benson in fourth place with a time of 14:19 and Gracie Ellis in fifth at 14:28. Berkley Moore was sixth at 14:30, Presley Smith finished at 15:00 for ninth place, and Kennadie Cummins was 10th with a time of 15:13. Kashlyn Conkin was 19th at 16:35.
Bryce Williams finished fourth in the men’s division with a great time of 16:35. Brice Wagner was fifth at 17:05, and Tanner Cavanaugh was 16th with a 27:20.
The Lady Broncos along with Williams and Wagner have advanced to the Regional CC Meet which will be held October 24 in Lubbock at Mae Simmons Park.
JV results were as follows: 1st Kimbrasia Ballard – 16:03; 2nd Lexi Phillips – 16:04; 3rd Trystan Brown – 16:09; 5th Kate Shaw – 16:26; 7th Kali Lenz – 17:29; 9th Kinslee Hatley – 19:47; 10th Cambree Smith – 19:50; 11th Jayla Woodard – 22:47; and 12th Megan Weatherread – 22:53.
