The Broncos are doing a good job of staying solid as they near the end of district play. They were able to gain two more big wins last week with a 66-26 win over Memphis and a 63-21 win over Shamrock.
The Broncos jumped all over the Cyclones early and held them to single digits at the break. Good ball movement on offense put the Broncos in a good spot as they were able to drop five of their seven three-pointers in the first half of play. Leyante Prince and Anthony Ceniceros put in two each in opening two quarters. A solid offensive presence with a strong defense allowed the Broncos to stay in their game plan and get the big district win over the Cyclones.
Prince finished with 18 and Mason Sims added 13 from his post position. Ceniceros put in nine and Kaleb Bolin had eight. Jaxan McAnear had seven and Levi Gates was strong inside with five. Lyric Smith had four and Reagan Wade finished with two.
On Friday, the Broncos went to Shamrock and breezed to a 63-21 win. The Broncos had six three-pointers in the game and converted 50 percent of their free throws. But solid basketball on both ends of the court allowed them to get the easy win.
The Broncos were in complete control from the tipoff to the buzzer. The Bronco defense only gave up nine points in the first half and two in the third period. Solid play from all players gave the Broncos the edge they need to finish their regular season with confidence as they will begin to prepare for post-season play.
