State and local emergency personnel responded to an accident on US 287 near FM 3257 late Thursday afternoon August 1 which backed up traffic in the westbound lanes for some time DPS Trooper Cole Ward said 35 year old Timothy Hatfield of Amarillo was westbound when he drove into the center median overcorrected to the right and then overcorrected to the left causing his Ford van to roll He was not injured but did receive a citation <br >Enterprise Photo
