The Lady Broncos had a good week on the court and collected two more district wins. The ladies are currently second behind Panhandle with two more games before post-season play.
The Lady Broncos traveled to Quanah early last week and won big at 54-21. Kenidee Hayes finished with 14 points that included two three-pointers. Gracie Ellis also finished in double figures with 10 with one free throw and three great shots from behind the arc.
The Lady Broncos brought the heat early in the game and jumped out to an early 18-point lead. They were able to build on that lead and the Lady Indians could never get anything started facing Clarendon’s solid defense.
Berkley Moore and Kate Shaw finished with six points each, and Kennadie Cummins and Kashlyn Conkin added five points apiece. Madi Benson put in four, and Tandie Cummins and Hayden Elam helped with two points each.
The Lady Rockets added a little more excitement to the 60-41 Lady Bronco victory, but still was no competition for the solid defense and aggressive offense the Lady Broncos played. They were able to use their full-court press to their advantage in the opening eight minutes to set the rhythm for the game and send a hard statement the Wellington squad.
Once again Hayes led the way with 18 points that included two three-pointers and hitting both free throws. Conkin had a great game to finish with 14 hitting two big shots and also nailing both of her shots from the bonus line.
The strength of the Lady Bronco team added a lot of depth to the scoreboard with the Cummins sisters adding eight and seven to the point total and Moore putting in all four of here free shots for six total points. Shaw is always tough inside and put in four from the paint and turning in 66 percent from the charity stripe. Benson and Elam helped with two and one respectively.
