Wilma Jean Mangum, 67, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, in Amarillo.
Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in the Cowboy Church and the Arena of Life in Amarillo with Ty Jones and Murray McKenzie, officiating. Burial followed at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Wilma was born January 11, 1941, in Memphis to Eltes Herman and Irene Butler Moore. She had been a resident of Amarillo most of her life. She was a caretaker and a member of the Cowboy Church and the Arena of Life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Pete Moore, Herman Moore, and Calvin Moore.
Survivors include two sons, Russell Gardner and wife Gloria of Albuquerque, NM, and Johnny Mangum and wife Jennifer of Forrestburg; a brother, David Moore of Sagle, Idaho; two sisters, Jo Ann Martin of Cabot, Arkansas, and Sharon Moore of Amarillo; and a granddaughter, Taylor Mangum.
The family requests memorials be to the Cowboy Church and the Arena of Life, 8827 South Washington Street, Amarillo, TX 79118.
