Henry Wendell Talley, 70, of Clarendon, died Monday, Monday, April 30, 2012, in Topeka, Kansas.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2012, in Robertson Funeral Directors Saints Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Don Stone, officiating.
Inurnment with US Air Force Honors will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Services are under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
He was born June 2, 1941, in Hedley, to Wanna Mae Carothers Talley and Emery W. Talley. Talley was always interested in our country and all the elected officials of his choice. He stayed in contact with them and supported them. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Thailand in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and he was a jet mechanic and served on bombing missions over North Vietnam. He enjoyed reading his Bible and was quite knowledgeable about the scriptures. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Tally had many friends in Clarendon who were helpful and supportive of him in years past. For this the family is extremely grateful.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his two sisters, Maxine Robinson of Clarendon and Judy Hays of Bingam, New Mexico; three nieces, Mona Oney of Cleburne, Lori Robinson of Clarendon, and Christina Childress of Lubbock; one nephew, Clint Robinson of Lubbock; and several great nieces and nephews.
