O Christmas Tree November 20, 2013 by Morgan Wheatly Leave a Comment Donley County folks had a brush with fame Sunday morning… or a famous tree at least. The US Capitol Christmas Tree came down US 287 through Clarendon and Hedley as part of its 5,000-mile journey from Washington State to Washington, DC. The 88-foot tall Engelmann spruce was harvested in the Colville National Forest on November 1. It was wrapped over a period of three days for its journey and will arrive at the US Capitol in time for Thanksgiving. Enterprise Photo / Kari Lindsey
