Nelda Tims Nance, 73, died Saturday, November 1, 2014, in Denton, Tex.
Services were held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, in Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Rev. Calvin Burrow, officiating. An additional memorial service will be held in Denton County.
Burial followed at the Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Nelda was born January 6, 1941, in Littlefield to W.G. and Veta Tims of Clarendon. She received a bachelor’s degree from WTSU in Canyon and a master’s degree in Library Science from TWU in Denton. She worked in libraries in Denton, Southlake, and Clarendon. She married Jimmie Eldon Nance on August 23, 1958 in Lockney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Karla Burrow of Midland and Kay Nance of Sanger; a son, Kelly Nance currently of Germany; two sisters, E.J. Durbin and Doris Berry both of Amarillo; 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family suggests that memorials be to the American Cancer Society or American Lung Association.
