Joe Glenn Smith, 48, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, in Lubbock.
Services were held on Saturday, April 4, 2015, in the First Presbyterian Church in Clarendon with Nancy Ruff, officiating.
Burial followed at Rowe Cemetery in Hedley.
Arrangements were under the direction Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Joe was born on May 24, 1966, in Hobbs, NM. He attended River Road High School in Amarillo. Joe was employed by Western Cash Register in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1989 until 2002, when he purchased the company. He later sold the company in 2011 and returned to Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Mosley Smith Kerr; an infant brother; one step brother and all maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his father and step mother, Montye and Linda Smith of Clarendon; a daughter Nicole McFadden and husband Patrick of Alexandria, Virginia; his grandchildren, Jamison and Ayla McFadden; a brother, Michael Smith of Newport Beach, CA; a sister, Sara Ussery and husband David of Franklin, TN; his step brothers, Rusty Welch of Port Arthur and Mark Welch of Tucson, AZ; his nieces, Jennifer Hoover of Thompson’s Station, TN and Olivia Smith of Newport Beach, CA; and his nephew, Ryan Ussery of Franklin, TN.
The family request memorials be sent to FARE (Food Allergy Research Education) in honor of his grandson or the First Presbyterian Church in Clarendon.
