Allyson Hogan’s bat was on fire as she hit another over-the-fence grand slam against district rival Booker in the Lady Broncos’ 16-1 blowout over Booker last week.
The win put the ladies at 2-1 in district play and 9-4 overall.
Brianna Butler was on the mound, and, according to head coach Gary Jack, she did a great job. Hogan was behind the plate and also played a solid game defensively.
Shelby Baxter, Karlee Adams, and Brooke Martin also played well defensively, which was noted by Jack.
“We hit the ball well,” Jack said. “Allyson hit another grand slam and Martin, Butler, and Jensen Hatley did a good job offensively.”
Booker’s lone run came in the third, but they were not able to put pressure on the Lady Broncos.
“It was a good game for us,” Jack said. “We hope to continue playing well.”
On Saturday, the Lady Broncos took on the Lady Bronco Alumni in their annual game and won, 14-3. Hogan continued her domination at the plate and hit another pitch over the fence. Jack said Butler, Martin, Hatley and Zaryia Smith hit the ball well in the game.
“This was a good game for us,” Jack said. “It’s always fun to see the girls come back. There were 13 girls that came back, and they played well. It was a good time.”
The Lady Broncos will take on Claude at home March 25 beginning at 1:00 p.m. They will travel to Follett on Tuesday, March 29.
