Jack Alvey Lewis, 88, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in Amarillo.
Graveside services were held on Friday, March 25, 2016, in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Anthony Knowles, officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Jack was born August 7, 1927, in Lelia Lake to Carroll Leland and Noma Eva Lewis. He married Ruth Roberts on June 7, 1949, in Clarendon. He had been a lifetime resident of Clarendon. He was a cowboy for Shelton Ranch for 20 years, Matthews Ranch for 10 years, as well as the JA Ranch and the 2B Ranch North of Pampa.
He was preceded in death his parents; his wife on November 29, 2005; a son, David Lewis; 3 brothers, Wayne, Leland, and Floyd Lewis; and a sister, Lanell Lovelady.
He is survived by a Son; Steve Lewis and wife Pam of Amarillo, 3 sisters; Carol Phillips of Richardson, Wanda Moore of Vega and Noma Brown of Amarillo; 5 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
The family request memorials be made to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch.
