John Morrow of the Sandell Drive-In presents a $1,000 check to Clarendon Economic Development Corp. Secretary Roger Estlack Monday morning to support continued renovations to the Mulkey Theatre. The money was donated from gate donations and concession receipts from the drive-in’s Elvis double feature on September 4. Morrow said this is the Sandell fans’ way of supporting the Mulkey project. The CEDC is currently raising matching funds for a $50,000 grant from the Don & Sybil Harrington Foundation to install heating and air-conditioning in the 1946 theatre.
