Todd Bradshaw of Amarillo was lucky to walk away when he had to make a hard landing in his Piper Cherokee Sunday afternoon on the RO Ranch northeast of Clarendon. The pilot told emergency personnel that his engine quit on the plane. Donley County Commissioner Andy Wheatly was the first to reach Bradshaw by helicopter and flew the man out to met local EMS, suffering only minor injuries. Courtesy Photo
