Jimmy B Johnson, 75, of Clarendon died Thursday, December 1, 2016.
Services were held on Sunday, December 4, 2016, in the Community Fellowship Baptist Church in Clarendon. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Jimmy was born at the Adair Hospital in Clarendon on December 19, 1940.
He was preceded in death by; his parents, Albert B (Jupe) and Opal Johnson, his sister Alice Davis and his son in law Harold Heald.
He is survived by; wife Paula Jo Vanderburg Johnson, daughter Lisa Heald of The Colony, Texas, son Michael Van Johnson and wife Lyrisa of Keller Texas, and daughter Jana White and husband Randy of Clarendon, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
He worked for the Permian Corp in Midland for 31 years. After retirement in 1991 he moved back to Clarendon full time to pursue his love of ranching and country life. While living in Clarendon he had the opportunity to serve in many areas of the community. He was the Justice of the Peace of Donley County for 14 years as well as the Municipal Court Judge for the City of Clarendon and the City of Howardwick. Jimmy was an active member of the Clarendon Lions Club and served as president in 1996. He was also a member of the Community Fellowship Church and served the Lord in many areas including serving as a Deacon for his church. He married the love of his life, Paula Jo, on September 21, 1957. His kids were his pride and joy. To say he was an awesome papa would be an understatement. His favorite pastimes were golfing, gardening, blue bell ice cream, and loving his adoring wife Paula Jo. Family was everything to him.
