Richard Dzamko and Austin Lowrie work to remove the awning from the façade of the old Clarendon Steakhouse as part of the Clarendon Economic Development Corporation’s project to renovate the building. CEDC purchased the building at the intersection of US 287 and Kearney over a year ago and put a new roof on the structure. The front of the building will be renovated according to concepts developed by the CEDC and Texas Tech University’s College of Architecture as a model for future incentives to encourage development of historic downtown properties.
