Dorothy Eva Sims, 91, of Clarendon died Tuesday, December 5, 2017, in Childress.
Services were held Friday, December 8, 2017, in the Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Rev. Matthew Stidham, officiating. Burial will follow in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Dorothy was born July 24, 1926, in Hanna, Oklahoma to Albert Luther and Myrtle May Skinner. She married Billy Carl Sims on November 13, 1943, in Eufaula, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Clarendon most of her life. She was a homemaker where she loved quilting and embroidery. She made beautiful quilts. She loved being outside and taking walks. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Clarendon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 2 sons, Billy Charles Sims and Jackie Loyd Sims.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Cole and Linda Hill and husband Kelly all of Clarendon; 2 sons, Bobby Sims and wife Petra and Ronnie Sims and wife Terri all of Clarendon; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
