J.E. Kidd, Jr., 92, of Clarendon died Sunday, December 24, 2017, in Memphis.
Memorial Services were held on December 27, in the Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Don Stone, officiating. Private Family Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements were by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
J.E. was born December 14, 1925, in Donley County to Montie and James Elzie Kidd, Sr. He married Nell Rose “Susie” Murphy on October 16, 1948 in Hedley. He had been a lifetime resident of Donley County where he was a farmer prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on November 26, 2012; a brother, Bob Kidd; and a sister, Billie Williams.
Survivors include a son, Larry Kidd of Clarendon; his daughter in law, Paulette Kidd of Clarendon; 3 sisters in law, Joan Kidd and Velma Byrd both of Clarendon, and Nadine Cortner of Overland Park, Kansas; 5 grandchildren, Jan Farris and husband Otis, Jill Chambless and husband Donnie, Jodi Cruse and husband Brand, Kari Lindsey and husband Bobby, and Todd Petty; 11 great grandchildren, Deston Chambless and wife Trisha, Cole Farris, Caden Farris and wife Chrislyn, Haley Chambless, Denver Chambless, Kyle Lindsey, Kallie Lindsey, Branson Cruse, Baylor Cruse, Brayson Cruse, and Madelyn Petty; 3 great great grandchildren, Corbin and Cohen Farris, and DeLaney Chambless; and several nieces and nephews.
