Clarendon City Hall reports that the water meter replacement portion of the UDSA project is starting tomorrow, Tuesday, December 4. All water meters in the city are being replaced. Customers may experience temporary disruption of water service during the replacement process.
The amount of time for these outages are expected to be minimal (about 15 minutes per meter), and there could be a small amount of air in the lines when completed, again this will be minimal.
The contractors are going door to door today to give notification of the future disruption. The name of the company doing the replacement is UMS. Their crew members will be wearing lime green t-shirts or reflective vests bearing their company name, and their pickups will also have the UMS logo.
For questions or more information regarding the contractor or process, call David Dockery or John Molder at City Hall at 874-3438.
