Nose deep January 30, 2019 by Roger Estlack Leave a Comment Clarendons former Dairy Queen became a real Texas stop sign Monday morning when a group from New York attempted to convert the building to a drive in restaurant Donley County Deputy Jake Longan said the 2016 Dodge Caravan was driven by Jansen H Wellington of Bronx New York and was carrying five passengers from New York to Denver Colo Monday morning The deputy said the investigation shows Wellington was going faster than 50 mph and westbound on US 287 when the accident occurred Longan believes the driver came up on another vehicle and veered too far left to avoid colliding with the other motorist Witnesses said the Caravan went by the gas pumps at Garrisons Convenience Store crossed Taylor Street and went through the parking lot in front of Mikes Pharmacy before hitting the old DQ building Enterprise Photo Roger Estlack
