Howardwick Interim Fire Chief Susie Langford left stands Tanis McMorries last Thursday March 26 after the City of Howardwick Volunteer Fire Department unveiled a new sign renaming that communitys park as McMorries Memorial Park The name honors fallen fireman James McMorries Tanis late husband who sustained numerous injuries while battling a wildfire on I 40 on March 12 2006 when the vehicle he was driving overturned sending him and two other volunteer firemen to the hospital He later died on April 9 of that year Langford said the honor for McMorries was long past due Enterprise Photo Roger Estlack
