The Clarendon Board of Aldermen authorized OJD Engineering to proceed with a master plan for a proposed street paving project when they met last Tuesday.
Engineer Che Shadle presented the proposal, which calls for OJD to perform a field survey to locate intersections, right-of-way information, and drainage patterns.
This work is considered a necessary first step to insure the proper sequence of design and construction in any large-scale paving program.
“If we’re going to do this, we want to do it the right way,” Shadle said
According to the agreement, the cost of the master plan will not exceed $12,000.
