Cornelia Adair looks over Clarendon with her husband John Adair’s image coming into focus as the downtown ranch heritage mural continues to reveal itself this week through the skillful art of Malcolm Byers. If Saints’ Roost were to have a patron saint, Mrs. Adair might be the leading candidate for her lifetime of philanthropy to Clarendon. Her gifts to the community included the Adair Hospital (now the Saints’ Roost Museum) and the YMCA Building (later Clarendon City Hall and now Clarendon’s Fire Hall.)
