It was a great day for the Bronco powerlifting team last Thursday as four lifters finished in the top spot in their weight class in Childress.
Kaleb Mays, who lifted at 119 pounds took first with a lift total of 785 pounds. He lifted 275 in the squat, benched 195 pounds and had a deadlift of 325 pounds. Mason Allred competed at 188 pounds and earned the top spot with 1025 pounds that included a squat of 375, bench press of 245 and a deadlift of 405 pounds. Zack Roberts topped the lifters at 231 pounds with a 405 squat, 270 bench, and a deadlift of 415 to break the bank at a whopping 1090 pounds. Coulter Wortham also broke the 1,000-pound mark of 1,020 pounds at the 215 weight with lifts of 385, 270, and 365.
Hunter Emerson finished second at 190 pounds with a lift total of 730 pounds. Emerson had a squat of 225 pounds, posted 190 in the bench and deadlifted 315 pounds. Klay Wilkins earned a second-place at 170 pounds with lifts of 315, 185, 290, and a total lift of 790 pounds.
Shaun Childers was third at 224 pounds with a total weight of 615. He lifted 185 in the squat, 155 in the bench and 190 in the deadlift. Dakota Bond was third at 130 pounds lifting a total of l760 that included 275 in the squat, 195 bench, and 290 deadlift.
Hayden Moore lifted at 290 and was third in that class. He lifted 290, 205, and 365 for 860 pounds. Nolan Burrow lifted at 265 pounds and almost tripled his weight in the total amount he lifted at 945 pounds. Burrow had lifts of 325, 255, and 365. Braylon Rice finished fourth at 148 pounds and had a lift total of 705 pounds. Rice had lifts of 265, 160, and 280 pounds.
Brice Wagner and Rowdy Bebout also competed in the meet.
