She was a great basketball player while attending school there. Lorine married Alexander Selkirk McAnear on October 26, 1935, at the First Baptist Parsonage in Clarendon. Lorine and Kirk lived the majority of their lives in Goodnight, where they farmed and raised their seven children. They later moved to Clarendon in 1969. Lorine was dearly loved by her family, for whom she gave of herself above and beyond until her death. She spent many hours singing songs to her children and grandchildren and telling them stories of her past. She enjoyed sewing for her family and was a member of many different quilting clubs. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clarendon.
