Paul Vosco “Froggie” Stewart, 88, died Friday, February 6, 2009, in Clarendon.
Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2009, in the First Baptist Church in Hedley with Rev. Bruce Howard, Pastor, and C. W. Parker, Odyssey Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Paul Vosco “Froggie” Stewart donated his body to medical science. He was born in Windy Valley on October 3, 1920, to Bruce N. and Lizze A. Ward Stewart. He graduated from Hedley High School and served in the US Army in World War II in the Philippines. He worked as a carpenter with his dad and in later years as a self-employed contractor. He married Louise Dodson on December 11, 1953, and they lived in Hedley all of their married life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers W. L. Stewart, Bruce Stewart Jr., H. Stewart; a sister, Hazel Bellah; and a grandson Bradley Dale Stewart.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Louise Stewart of Hedley; two sons, Gary Don Stewart of Leila Lake, Jimmy Dale Stewart of Dallas; and a daughter, Lisa Ann Alsup of Chanute, Kansas.
