Rusty Mosley, 61, of Amarillo died August 31, 2006.
Services were held on Monday, September 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ at The Colonies. Mr. Dick Marcear will officiate. Burial followed at the Rowe Cemetery in Hedley. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Rusty was born in Clarendon to Winfield and Sara Jo Mosley on January 13, 1945. He married Connie Francies in Amarillo on July 8, 1983. Rusty was a cowboy at heart and had worked on both the Hedgecoke and Shelton Ranches. He enjoyed roping with his many close friends and was known as the practical joker, always bringing a laugh to those around him. Most recently, Rusty had worked for Plains Transportation hauling cattle until his health prevented him from working. He will forever be remembered and missed for his kind, gentle spirit and his eagerness to help anyone in need.
Rusty was preceded in death by a son, Russell Winfield Jr. in 1965; his father Winfield Mosley in 1975; and his sister, Jane Mosley Kerr in 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Mosley of Amarillo; two daughters, Susan Abshire and husband Scott of Raleigh, NC, and T.J. Stewart of Graham; a son, Michel Stewart of Amarillo; his mother, Sara Jo Mosley Walker of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Deric, Derin, Michael, Hunter, Makensie, and Cheyenne; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
