Raymond Combs

Raymond Combs, 76, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at Leila Lake.

Burial was held at a Private Family Cemetery near Lelia Lake. Services were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.

Mr. Combs was born March 29, 1930, in Lee County, Kentucky, to Clayburn and Janie Viers Combs. He was a resident of Armstrong County before moving to Lelia Lake 15 years ago. He married Effie May Napier on May 20, 1951, at Austin, Indiana. He was a master welder and worked at various places throughout his life. He was loved by his family and the community.

Mr. Combs is preceded in death by his wife and two brothers.

Survivors include four daughters, Lena Baum, Debbie Bryant, Becky Combs, and Sherie Combs; three sons, Ray Combs, Jr., James Combs, and Michael Combs; one brother, Ronnie Sampson; three sisters, Zenith Commer, Francis Combs, and Joyce Sampson, wife of brother Virl; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
