Funeral services for Joalene W. Hudson, age 72, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, in the First Baptist Church in Claude with Rev. Jess Little, Pastor, and Rev. Delbert Serratt, officiating. Burial was held in Claude Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.
Mrs. Hudson died Saturday, April 30, 2005, in Amarillo. She was born October 9, 1932, in Umbarger, Texas, and was a lifetime resident of Armstrong County. She married C.M. Hudson on November 17, 1950, at Claude. She was a talented artist, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved the Lord. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Claude.
Survivors include her husband, C.M. Hudson of Claude; one daughter, Shannon Heck of Claude; one son, Kevin Hudson of Claude; one sister, Imogene Harris of Tulia; one brother, George Wilmoth of Anchorage, Alaska; eleven grandchildren, Caleb Hudson, Jed Hudson, Jubal Hudson, Ester Hudson, Eligha Hudson, Elijah Hudson, Jared Heck, Shenee Heck, Alyssa Heck, Gabrielle Heck, and Shiloh Heck.
The family requests memorials be to the First Baptist Church in Claude or the Goodnight Cemetery Association.
