Frances Elois Talley, 76, of Claude died Saturday, February 7, 2004.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. on February 10, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Claude with the Rev. Harry Pittman of First Baptist Church of Lovington, New Mexico, officiating. Assisting were Rev. Jess Little of First Baptist Church in Claude, Rev. Ben Talley of Ft. Lauderdale, and Rev. Lee Welch of First Baptist Church in Rusk.
Burial was at Claude Cemetery with arrangements by Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc.
Mrs. Talley was born November 10, 1927, in Clarendon. She married Ben B. Talley of Clarendon on December 21, 1946. They moved to Lovington, where Mrs. Talley taught school for 30 years. After retirement in 1996, they moved back to reside in Claude.
Survivors include her husband Ben B. Talley of Claude; four children, Ben A. Talley and wife Lynda of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Frances Rutledge and husband Kevin of North Port, AL, Carolyn Little and husband Lonnie of Marion, LA, Marolyn Welch and Lee of Rusk; four sisters, Erma Lee Tims of Claude, Imogene Brogdon of Amarillo, Betty Morgan of Levelland, and Ann Reeves of Amarillo; one brother, W.T. Elliott of Claude; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to BSA Hospice of Amarillo or to some missions cause of the donor’s preference through the First Baptist Church of Claude.
