Shane Morgan

Funeral services for Shane Morgan of Wellington, age 21, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2003, at the First United Methodist Church in Wellington with Rev. Monte Kreis, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Colorado City, Texas, officiating.  Burial will be held in North Fairview Cemetery in Wellington under the direction of Adams Funeral Home in Wellington.

Mr. Morgan died Monday, October 13, 2003, in Armstrong County.  He was born on November 24, 1981, in Sterling, Colorado. He graduated from Wellington High School in 2000.  He was active in 4-H for over nine years.  He was a member of the FFA, Collegiate 4-H, Ag-Exects, Angus Association, and the Amarillo Hockey Association.  He was a senior at West Texas A&M University, majoring in Agri-Business. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Jacqueline and Charles Garner of Wellington; his father and step-mother, Teddy and Terri Morgan of Greeley, Colorado; a sister and her husband, Brandi and John Havens of Clarendon; girlfriend, Emily Childers of Shallowater; nephews, Payton and Calder Havens of Clarendon; grandparents Leona Hood and the late Merwyn Hood of Westcliffe, Colorado; Ted and Lena Morgan of McClave, Colorado; great grandparent Sadie Hoettcher of McClave, Colorado; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
