Mike Murff

Mike Murff,  73, died Monday, April 20, 2009, in Hall County.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2009, in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Bryan Knowles, officiating. Burial was held at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Services were held at Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.

Mike was born November 28, 1935, in Donley County to Charles V. and Cleo Howard Murff. He married Mary Barker on March 10, 1991, in Clarendon. He was a farmer, and had worked for Pantex and the US Post Office. He also obtained a bachelor’s degree from West Texas State University. He had been a resident of Donley and Hall counties all of his life. He was a Methodist.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Murff of Brice; three daughters, Allison Hill and Nicole Murff both of Amarillo, Tanya Northern and husband Scot of Midland; two step children, Judy Mackey and husband Steve and John Hopkins and wife Jean, all of Synder; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and 2 step great grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Citizens Cemetery Association or a favorite charity.
