The District Court heard five pleas took place which resulted in four deferred adjudications and one conviction last Monday in Clarendon
A total of $8,500 in fines was assessed as a result of the pleas that took place on November 9. The defendants were also required to pay a total of $2,075 in court costs and $202.13 in restitution.
David Leon Weatherton pleaded guilty to a third degree felony offense of driving while intoxicated and was convicted and sentenced to ten years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, but the sentence was probated for a period of five years.
Weatherton was arrested in Donley County on May 6, 2009, for the offense that took place June 22, 2008.
Pursuant to the plea agreement, Weatherton is required to pay a $3,000 fine to Donley County, $565 in court costs, serve 10 days in the Donley County Jail, suffer 180 days driver’s license suspension, complete a program for repeat alcohol offenders, complete an alcohol education program, and is required to have an ignition interlock device installed on his vehicle during the five-year probationary period.
Gabriel A Robles was placed on probation for two years for the class A misdemeanor offense of deadly conduct. Robles pleaded guilty and was placed on deferred adjudication.
The offense that took place July 4, 2009. Pursuant to the plea agreement, Robles was required to pay a fine of $1,000 to Donley County, and $390 in court costs, among other conditions of probation. If Robles violates probation, he could face up to one year in the Donley County Jail.
Kimberly Haire was placed on probation for a period of two years for the state jail felony offense of forgery. Haire pleaded guilty and was placed on deferred adjudication for two state jail felony forgery charges.
Haire pleaded guilty to a complaint and information filed by the State for the offenses that took place August 2, 2009 and September 28, 2009. Pursuant to the plea agreement, Haire was required to pay a fine of $1,500 to Donley County; $780 in court costs, and $202.13 in restitution, among other conditions of probation. If Haire violates probation, she could face up to two years in the State Jail Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Chase Jefferie Wilson was placed on probation for a period of three years for the third degree felony offense of places weapons prohibited. Wilson pleaded guilty to the offense was placed on deferred adjudication for places weapons prohibited.
Wilson was arrested in Donley County on September 25, 2009, for the offense. Pursuant to the plea agreement, Wilson is required to pay a $3,000 fine; and $340 in court costs. If Wilson violates probation, he could face up to ten years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
