Wayne Ivey, 76, died July 12, 2009, in Pampa.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Charles Lowry, pastor of CrossPointe Church, officiating. Burial was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Ivey was born October 30, 1932, in Hedley. He married Maggie Talley on November 10, 1948, in Pampa. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1953. Wayne worked for the Texas Railroad Commission for 20 years before his retirement. He was the former owner and operator of Ivey’s Cushman Motor Scooters and worked for Cabot Machinery for 10 years. He was a member of CrossPointe Church.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie Ivey of the home; four sons, Tom Ivey and wife Carla, and Gary Ivey and wife Stephanie, all of Amarillo, David Ivey and wife Peggy and James Ivey and wife Kim, all of Pampa; a sister: Janie Gibson and husband Lloyd of Clarendon; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
