Barbara Gail Hewett Brown, 67, died Thursday, September 10, 2009, in Amarillo.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009, in the Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with Micheal L. Patterson officiating. Interment was held at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Services were held at Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.

Barbara was born October 3, 1941, in Clarendon to Noel D. and Ethel L. Elliott Hewett. She married Charles P. Brown on June 27, 1958, in Clarendon. She had been a longtime resident of Amarillo. She loved to paint pictures. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded by her parents and a brother, Bobby Hewett.

Survivors include her husband, Charles P. Brown of Amarillo; a daughter, Angela Borron of Amarillo; two sisters, LaRee Short of Amarillo and Jeaneta Wallace of Benbrook; and two grandchildren, Chad W. Borron of Plainview and Tyler P. Borron of Amarillo.

The family requests memorials be to BSA Hospice of Amarillo.
