Rudy Lynn Partain, 58, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, in Clarendon.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010, in Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories in Clarendon, with Don Stone and Chris Moore, officiating. Interment followed at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Rudy was born June 13, 1951, in Elk City, Okla., to Robert Ray and Jewel Alene Taylor Partain. He had been a welder and had worked for Bell Helicopter and ASARCO. He also loved to make things. He was an US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. Rudy was a member of the Clarendon Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, R.E. Partain.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Partain and wife Shelly of Katy, and Rod Partain and wife Stephanie of Canyon; a sister, Roberta Kime and fiancé Marvin Sartin of Clarendon; three grandchildren, Bryton, Zachary, and Avery; his niece, Jamie Kime and family of Amarillo; and nephews, Cecil Ray Mills and family of Ardmore, Okla. and Richard Mills and family of Lamar, Okla.
The family requests that memorials be to the Citizens Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 983, Clarendon, Texas 79226, – High Plains Children’s Home, – or the Alzheimer‘s Association.
