Hazel Noble, 87, died Thursday, October 22, 2009, in Panhandle.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2009, in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Bud Kidwell, son-in-law and Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Panhandle, officiating. Interment was held at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Mrs. Noble was born August 13, 1922, to George and Lela Smith Roberson in Altus, Okla. She married Gerald Noble on April 6, 1946, in Memphis. They lived in Donley County until 1989 when they moved to Amarillo. Hazel was a proud farmer’s wife and a homemaker. She loved sewing, cooking, and taking care of her family. She was an active member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in Amarillo and an honorary member of the First United Methodist Church in Panhandle.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Noble, on October 22, 1991; a grandson, Jeff Tyra; her parents; 12 siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie and wife Janie Tyra of Amarillo; two daughters, Marilyn and husband Gary Grimes of Amarillo, and Karilyn and husband Rev. Bud Kidwell of Panhandle; four grandchildren, Kimberly Kidwell, D’Wan Grimes, Shad Tyra, and Kendra and husband Jason Cantrell; one great grandchild, Devin Morelos; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be to Citizens Cemetery Association, PO Box 983, Clarendon, Texas 79226-0983.
