And the wind blew… April 20, 2011 by Roger Estlack Leave a Comment The famous Panhandle wind took its toll on property in Clarendon last Friday with gusts clocked at more than 70 mph. In addition to blowing dirt and broken tree branches, two local business suffered perhaps the worst damage. Dollar General lost part of its cement block facade and Sonic Drive-In’s sign fell partway over, forcing the restaurant to close one side of its parking lot to traffic.
