Roberta Bernice McManus Lamberson, 89, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in Jacksboro, Texas.
Services were held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, in Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Dwayne Lamberson, officiating.
Burial followed at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Bernice passed from this life to a greater life Wednesday, November 11, 2015, just hours before her 90th birthday. She was born November 12, 1925, to R.M. and Maude English McManus in Liberty County, Texas. She married Jack Lamberson on April 1, 1944, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many many folks. She enjoyed ranch life helping Jack and cooking meals for the cowboys on round up days. She was a member of Grace Baptist Mission of Bowie. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, crossword puzzles, and handy art work.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2012; a brother; and 6 sisters.
She is survived by a son, Dwayne Lamberson and wife Glenda of Bowie; a daughter, Sandra Morgan and husband Micky of Carrolton; grandson, Shane Morgan and wife Susan of Carrolton, grandson, Shawn Morgan and wife Crista of Coppell, grandson, Chad Morgan and wife Christi of Sunnyvale, and grandson, Marcus Lamberson and wife Lana of Jacksboro; a brother, Bobby McManus and wife Joy Kay of Dayton; 9 great grandkids; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and a wonderful family at Jacksboro Healthcare.
