The Clarendon College Meats Judging Team won the Southwestern Intercollegiate in Ft. Worth last week. The Clarendon team beat out six other teams to claim the title. Individual results were as follows: Britt Dixon, High Individual; Mario Alvarez, 3rd; Sherri Halstead, 5th; and Austin Trent, 15th. CEDC purchased the building at the intersection of US 287 and Kearney over a year ago and put a new roof on the structure. Clarendon Boy Scout Troop 433 held a Court of Honor Monday night for rank advancements and merit badge presentations. Nathan Estlack and JaKoby Dunham were recognized for earning their Scout, Tenderfoot, and Second Class ranks and four merit badges each. Tyler Paul received his Star and Life ranks plus 11 merit badges, and Joseph Watson earned 19 merit badges en route to receiving Bronze, Gold, and Silver Palms, which represents merit badges earned beyond the rank of Eagle Scout.
