A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, for the new Hedley Senior Citizens Community Building. The groundbreaking comes after several years of raising funds for a much-needed new building. This will start phase one of the new building. Donations are still needed to help complete phases 2 and 3 of the project.
