March 13, 2013 by Morgan Wheatly Leave a Comment Hedley High School Thespians will present a Dessert Theatre and Open Theatre Practice for their UIL One Act Play, “Murder Me Once,” on Wednesday, March 19, 2013. The evening at Hedley High School will start at 6 p.m. with an all-you-can-eat Dessert Theatre for $5 following at 7 p.m. with the 1940s murder mystery, “Murder Me Once.” The cast and crew will present their UIL One Act Play at the South Zone Contest on Thursday, March 20, at the historic Ritz Theatre in Wellington at 5:30 p.m. Come join the fun, wonderful desserts, and guess “who done it” The cast and crew standing from left to right: Andy Munoz, Kortney Burton, Charlie Neeley, David Bell, Coltin Kingston, and Bailey Wood. Sunday fire February 21, 2013 by Morgan Wheatly Leave a Comment Clarendon volunteer firemen responded to a big fire south of the city on SH 70 Sunday afternoon about one mile past the cemetery. Officials aren’t certain what started the blaze at several points along the highway, but they think it was likely someone with a blown out tire. Phase One – Exterior renovation is nearing completion, and Clarendon Economic Development Board members are discussing holding an official lighting and block party on May 25.

The CC basketball teams held a fundraiser to benefit the Harrington Cancer Foundation, and as a prize for raising $1,500 Coaches Brad Vanden Boogaard and Tony Starnes as well as Buckhaults received new looks.
