Students from 88 FFA Chapters from 1A to 5A schools arrived on Saturday, May 4th, to participate in the Texas A&M State Livestock Judging Contest held in College Station. Several Hedley Owls have their set their sights on gold in College Station this week. Girls’ Singles Tennis player Marijke Tiddens and the FFA livestock judging team made up of Caden Farris, Kati Adams, Kassie O’Dell and Austin Adams are competing this week. South Plains college hosted the Regional Academic UIL contest on Friday. Competing form Hedley were Clay King- Social Studies; David Bell- Social Studies; Miles Patton- Science; Diego Souza- Science; Kassie O’Dell-Social Studies; Kristen Liner- Social Studies. Although the participants didn’t place high enough to qualify for state, they all worked really hard. “We were very proud of our kids for their hard work.
