They won several awards and learned a great deal of material to share with fans during the upcoming school year. They have also planned a Little Miss Cheer camp to be held on Saturday, September 1. They will also have spirit shirts for sale beginning August 10. Walk Across America July 25, 2012 by Morgan Wheatly Leave a Comment Local Pizza Hut workers Destiney Pate and Brandi Mays spend the day with Walking Across America Nick Kleckner as he rested up for the rest of his long journey. Hobo Nick is attempting to walk from the Atlantic Ocean in Florida to the Pacific Ocean in California. Nick started his journey without food, water, or money and has been living off the generosity of others. He arrived in Clarendon on Thursday and was welcomed by many in the Clarendon Community; several people gave him money, food, and toiletries. Nick’s goal is to find purpose in his life. Hedley Lions recognize Hagars July 18, 2012 by Morgan Wheatly Leave a Comment Lion Jim Taylor (right), secretary of the Hedley Lions, presented their “Lion of the Year” award to Roger and Sue Hagar in recognition of their outstanding service, loyalty and devotion to Lionism. The Hagars helped replace the ceiling in the Hedley Lions Building in addition to the air conditioning and heating system. The presentation was made at the Lions Zone 4 Installation of Officers on July 6 at 6:30 p.m. hosted by the Hedley Lions.
