Christmas wheels January 6, 2021 by Roger Estlack Leave a Comment A Clarendon family received a new car just before Christmas thanks to Street Toyota in Amarillo. With donations from his employees, Joe Street provided cars to two area families who were associated with the Golden Spread Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Bryan Tolbert at the council office recommended one family in Amarillo and also the family of Rosa Olivas, who is a member of BSA Scout Troop 4433 in Clarendon. Rosa’s mother Stella was presented with the late model Toyota as well as a gift card for $500 on December 22. The Grinch is coming to town December 16, 2020 by Roger Estlack Leave a Comment Kids of all ages are invited to visit the Grinch at 503 S. Cottage in Clarendon Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. The Grinch, portrayed by Brandon Freeze, greeted folks at that address last weekend and will be joined again Saturday by Santa (Kenny Black), Cindy Lou Who (Kynna Phillips), and the Mayor of Whooville (Jayton Moore). Helping hands December 2, 2020 by Roger Estlack Leave a Comment These and other volunteers worked hard to feed 250 people last Thursday during the Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the Clarendon School Cafeteria.
