Willie Frances McCauley, 95, died Saturday, October 22, 2011, in Hereford.
Services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the Clarendon Church of Christ with Don Stone officiating. Burial will be Thursday, October 27, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Thalia Cemetery in Thalia with Chuck Robertson officiating. Services are under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Willie McCauley was born September 24, 1916, in Clay County, Tenn. to William J. and Sally Harris Abston. She married J.A. Blevins on September 5, 1936, in Foard County. After his death she married Troy V. Moore on October 1, 1977, in Clarendon until his death. On September 11, 1986, she married John M. McCauley in Howardwick. Willie worked as a homemaker most of her life. She also worked as a waitress, served as a City Alderman for the City of Howardwick, and was a member of the Howardwick Lions Club. She lived in Clarendon and Howardwick most of her life until moving to Amarillo about 14 years ago. After living in Amarillo for about 7 years, she moved to Hereford. Willie was a member of the Clarendon Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, J.A. Blevins, in 1976; second husband, Troy Moore, in 1985; third husband, John McCauley, in 2003; two sons, 2-year-old Joe Ernest Blevins, in 1940, and Sonny Blevins in 2001; and two brothers.
She is survived by her son, Roy Blevins and wife Sandi, of Hereford; daughter, Mary Duggan and husband Willis, of Hereford; daughter-in-law Susie Blevins of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 24 great-great grandchildren.
